Watford Women will play their home league matches at Vicarage Road during the 2026/27 season following their promotion to the Barclays WSL 2.

Head of Women’s Football, Helen Ward, told watfordfc.com: “I’m delighted to have our league games at Vicarage Road,” said

“It suits us as a team because of the way we play, and having a home that the fans are familiar with, where we can showcase what we are all about, is fantastic for the players and staff.

“It’s also an incredible opportunity for us to try and bring more fans to our home games, and provide them with a really brilliant matchday experience.”

Head coach Renee Hector added: “I’m over the moon to confirm Vicarage Road as our home ground. I’ve had very positive experiences there, and I know that for the girls, when they turn up it’s really special.

“It seems to bring another level out of them and an extra one per cent out of the team.

“It brings more of a crowd, which spurs the team on and motivates them to put on a show.

“It’s really, really positive news. We hope we can make it our fortress and have some really positive results and performances there over the upcoming season.”
