
Rhian Wilkinson’s Wales Women will travel to Spain to face Switzerland in a friendly during the final international window of the year.
The match will take place on Tuesday 2 December, with an 11:00am GMT / 12:00pm CET kick off time at El Chapin Stadium (Estadio Municipal de Chapín) in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
UEFA Women’s Euros quarter finals in the summer, Switzerland are ranked 24th in the world, eight places above Wales who are currently ranked 32nd.
The World Cup play-off final in October 2022 was the last time the two sides faced each other.
Wales narrowly lost 2-1, with Fabienne Humm scoring the winner for Switzerland in the final moments of the match despite Rhiannon Roberts putting Cymru ahead.
This match will aid Wales’ preparations for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers that will take place next year.
A second match is being finalised to be played in the evening of Friday 28 November, also in Spain. Opponents and venue will be confirmed in due course.
