The USA Women followed up their 3-0 friendly international victory over Italy last week with a 2-0 win in the double header with the Azzurre.

USA secured the success with first-half goals from forwards Catarina Macario and Jaedyn Shaw. Macario added to her brace in the earlier match against Italy, lofting a shot over goalkeeper Francesca Durante after being found by Lily Yohannes. When Alyssa Thompson picked out Shaw, she cut inside to fire the hosts 2-0 ahead.

Japan also followed up their earlier 3-0 win over Canada with a second victory, the only goal coming just before half-time from Mina Tanaka.

Denmark drew 0-0 with Norway in Spain, but Amalie Vangsgaard missed a chance from the penalty spot for the Danes.

Belgium versus Finland was also staged in Spain and finished as a draw, as Jill Janssens’ opener for the Red Flames was answered by Oona Sevenius before the break.

Still in Spain, Ukraine were 3-2 victors over Austria, with the winner coming just three minutes after half-time.
