
The Scottish Women’s Premier League has confirmed the appointment of five club representatives who will join the SWPL Board for a two-year term following the AGM.
The SWPL Board consists of four ScottishPower Women’s Premier League representatives and one ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 representative. Those elected and who will serve on the SWPL Board alongside SWPL managing director Fiona McIntyre, chair Elizabeth Fagan, SPFL representative Neil Doncaster and independent non-executive director James Murray, are:
- Laura Montgomery (Glasgow City FC) – Club Appointed Director (SWPL1)
- Dan Barnett (Hibernian FC) – Club Appointed Director (SWPL1)
- Grant Jarvie (Motherwell FC) – Club Appointed Director (SWPL1)
- Donald Gillies (Rangers FC) – Club Appointed Director (SWPL1)
- Cathy Jamieson (Kilmarnock FC) – Club Appointed Director (SWPL 2)
Fiona McIntyre, SWPL managing director, said: “We are delighted to confirm the appointment of these club representatives to our Board at such a pivotal moment for the women’s game. Their collective expertise will be invaluable as we continue to build a bold, ambitious, and sustainable future for the League.
“Clubs have a vital role in the SWPL governance structure and these appointments reinforce that, ensuring they continue to hold the representative majority on our Board.”
“We would also like to place on record our thanks to outgoing Board Members Andrew McKinlay (Heart of Midlothian) who has served on the SWPL Board since its inception in 2022 and Phyllis Carroll (Kilmarnock) who was appointed on to the Board in 2024, for their commitment to professionalising the league, expanding opportunities, and elevating standards across the women’s game in Scotland.”
