Switzerland have qualified for the UEFA Women’s U19 EURO Finals after victory over England, while Wales beat Latvia to finish runners-up in the group.

Emanuela Pfister gave the Swiss a 35th-minute lead and with 15 minutes left to play, scored her second goal of the match, leaving the Young Lionesses with too much to do to progress.

Wales struck three times in an eight-minute spell before the half-hour mark to take control of the match with Latvia.

Casi Gregson set up Emily Cole to slot the opener past the goalkeeper, then put the ball in the box for Nia Lewis to double the lead.

Gregson then found the net herself with a shot from just outside the box.

Latvia hit back early in the second half as Jekaterina Haritonova’s half-volley from 25 yards flew past a diving Soffia Kelly in the Welsh goal.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will host the Championship finals from 27 June to 10 July, with the draw to be made on Wednesday 22 April at 6pm BST.
