Swansea City Women claimed an important 3-1 midweek victory at Briton Ferry Llansawel, cutting the gap on the Genero Adran Premier top two from their game in hand.
They took an early lead in front of the 224-strong crowd, as Sammy Wynne scored from the edge of the box.
That advantage was short-lived, though, as Ela Roberts was brought down in the box by Amelia Forkings, and Lucy Powell slotted home the resulting penalty.
The Swans regained the lead after the break through Aimee Deacon, then making it 3-1 as Stacey John picked out Taite Trivett to finish.
Ferry had a chance to set up a tense finish after being awarded a second penalty in added time, but this time Powell put her spot-kick over the crossbar.
The result brought Swansea to within four points of Wrexham and five of leaders Cardiff City as the Championship Conference begins on Sunday, while Llansawel will kick off their Plate Conference fixtures with a three-point lead over both Aberystwyth Town and Barry Town United.
