
Spain beat Germany 3-0 in the UEFA Women’s Nations League Final Second Leg, to continue their domination of the competition.
After a goalless first game, their home leg watched by 50,000 in Madrid, remained 0-0 until just after the hour mark when Mariona Caldentey set up Claudia Pina to score.
Vicky López doubled the lead with an assist from Laia Aleixandri, and the scoring was completed in the 74th minute as Pina grabbed her second of the night.
France eventually secured third place ahead of Sweden after extra-time. They added to their 2-1 first-leg lead through Cloe Mateo but Evelyn Ijeh equalised on the night.
In stoppage time, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd set up Rosa Kafaji to score and send the match into extra time.
At the start of the second period of extra time, Kelly Gago restored France’s overall lead as they took the tie 4-3 on aggregate.
