Shrewsbury Town Women play the first of three games at Croud Meadow stadium this season against Leek Town, after the original fixture with them was abandoned.
The game was stopped after 21 minutes, with Shrewsbury’s Vikki Owen sustaining a neck injury that ruled her out for 12 weeks.
The side have remained unbeaten so far in the West Midlands League Premier Division with four wins and two draws, sitting fourth with games in had on all those above them.
Director of Shrewsbury Town Women, Leanne Rimmer, told shrewsburytown.com: “For the very first time, Shrewsbury Town Women will play three matches on the Croud Meadow pitch this season.
“Our rearranged game against Leek will be the first of the 2025/26 campaign and we’re hoping as many fans as possible will come along to cheer us on.
“The games we’ve played in the stadium in recent years have been a great opportunity to showcase the growth of the women’s game, the growth of the league and the growth of our team.
“They have been fantastic occasions where we have received some wonderful support – with more than 900 fans coming to the first one. And we’re really hopeful we will get another big crowd this weekend.”
Tickets for the 1pm kick-off cost £4 for adults and £2 for concessions and are available by clicking HERE.
