Sheffield United Women manager Ash Thompson has departed the club the two parties having ‘mutually agreed to part ways’.
Appointed head coach of the Blades before the start of the 2024-25 season, he leaves with the side bottom of Barclays WSL 2 with one point from four games.
Stepping into the role on an interim basis is Luke Turner, who had been Thompson’s long-term assistant head coach.
In a statement on sufc.com, the club said: ‘Following a review, both parties agreed that this was the right time for a change of leadership.
The club would like to thank Ash for his efforts throughout his time at the club’.
