Melissa Andreatta has named her Scotland Women squad that will kick off the World Cup qualifiers next month.

Hibernian forward Kathleen McGovern returns following injury, whilst fellow attacker Maria McAneny retains her place after scoring on her senior debut to secure a 1-1 draw against Ukraine in November, reports scottishfa.co.uk.

Seven of the eight players who made their Scotland debuts in 2025 will start this year’s qualification campaign with 52-capped Martha Thomas dropping out of selection.

Defender Leah Eddie also drops out and is replaced by Charlotte Newsham. The 25-year-old was called into the senior squad for the first time last May, replacing Amy Rodgers who suffered a broken jaw against Austria during the 2025 UEFA Nations League campaign.

Scotland will start with a Luxembourg double-header and the first home fixture in the calendar will take place at Hampden Park on Saturday 7 March.

Scotland squad: Sandy MacIver (Washington Spirit), Eartha Cumings (Manchester City), Lee Gibson (Glasgow City), Amy Muir (Glasgow City), Nicola Docherty (Rangers), Georgia Brown (SC Jacksonville), Jenna Clark (Liverpool), Sophie Howard (Como), Emma Lawton (Celtic), Charlotte Newsham (Charlton Athletic), Rachel McLauchlan (Brighton and Hove Albion), Miri Taylor (Aston Villa), Erin Cuthbert (Chelsea), Caroline Weir (Real Madrid), Kirsty Maclean (Liverpool), Chelsea Cornet (Birmingham City), Freya Gregory (Newcastle United), Lauren Davidson (SK Brann), Kirsty Hanson (Aston Villa), Mia McAulay (Rangers), Kirsty Howat (Crystal Palace), Kath McGovern (Hibernian), Maria McAneny (Celtic).
