Scotland Women lost 4-3 to Switzerland after twice equalising to go in level at half-time at East End Park.

Scotland twice equalised against Switzerland before the break, Sydney Schertenleib headed home from Alisha Lehmann’s cross, before Caroline Weir’s delivery was turned in by Kathleen McGovern over goalkeeper Livia Peng.

Erin Cuthbert hit the crossbar, but Geraldine Reuteler set up Iman Beney to restore the lead. Before the break, Reuteler conceded an own-goal from Weir’s corner kick under pressure from McGovern.

Schertenleib’s second came with the aid of a deflection past Lee Gibson, Smilla Valotto then fired the Swiss 4-2 up.

Weir had a goal disallowed for handball but managed to score in stoppage time, bringing her team within one goal of the Swiss.
