Regional League titles for Brunsmeer, Hednesford and Saltash

Brunsmeer Athletic, Hednesford Town and Saltash United all secured Regional League Division 1 titles.

EASTERN – Luton do the double, Hutton win Plate Final

Premier – Enfield Town were 2-1 victors at second-placed Royston Town, as they moved into the top half of the table. Watford Ladies Development welcome Luton Town to Berkhamsted FC this Wednesday.

1 North – Biggleswade United beat Real Bedford Reserves 5-1 on Wednesday. Histon netted a 9-1 win at Kings Lynn Town to secure the runners-up spot ahead of Newmarket Town. Stevenage Development took the points 2-0 at Mulbarton Wanderers, Real Bedford Reserves beat Wootton Blue Cross Lionesses 4-1.

1 South – Lawford’s Megan Foord scored twice in a 5-3 win at Romford Town Flyers, which sealed eighth place for them.

League Cup Final – Luton Town completed the double with a 3-0 defeat of Stevenage at Bedford Town FC.

League Plate Final – Hutton found the net four times without reply against Chelmsford City.

EAST MIDLANDS – Finals Day coming up

There were no games this week but Rotherham United face Sheffield FC for the League Cup on 18 May 3.30pm at Arnold Town FC, preceded at 11am by Mansfield Town’s meeting with SJR Worksop for the League Plate.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Bromley abruptly end Brentford run

Premier – Ashford United’s relegation on goal-difference was confirmed after a 6-0 home defeat to champions Fulham, Barking won 3-0 at Haywards Heath Town.

1 North – Runners-up Bromley sent champions Brentford to a 4-1 defeat watched by a crowd of 278, ending the Bees 20-match winning run. Dulwich Hamlet Reserves’ Ana De Pellegrin scored twice in a 3-2 success at third-placed Leatherhead, whom they ended two points behind. Richmond & Kew finished level on points with fifth-placed Denham United, Charlotte Close hitting a hat-trick in a 6-1 win at Richmond Park.

1 South – Hastings United drew 1-1 with Herne Bay, as they completed their campaigns in eighth and ninth respectively.

NORTH EAST – Brunsmeer Athletic earn Premier place

Premier – League winners Chester le Street Town overcame Alnwick Town 7-2, featuring a hat-trick from Laura Hockaday.

1 North – Consett beat Hartlepool United midweek with Jade Fenton scoring the only goal but they had to settle for sixth spot after losing out to an Olivia Black goal at Washington in fifth.

1 South – Brunsmeer Athletic became champions with a 4-0 result at title rivals Handsworth, who had required three points to take top spot.

SOUTHERN – Cup joy for Abingdon United Devs

1 North – Kidlington completed their fixtures with a fine 2-1 victory at runners-up Penn & Tylers Green.

1 South – AFC Stoneham and Bursledon signed off with a 1-1 draw.

Chairman’s Cup Final – Abingdon United Development defeated Oxford City 3-1 on Thursday 8 May at Beaconsfield Town FC.

REGEN ARABLE SOUTH WEST – Saltash United seal title

Premier – Bishops Lydeard came out on top 6-2 in the basement battle at AFC St Austell.

1 North – Gloucester City topped the table by 14 points following a rampant second-half and 9-2 scoreline over Stockwood Wanderers, added by substitute Sachiko Kaneko-Grun’s treble.

1 South – Saltash United clinched the title ahead of Plympton with a 4-2 midweek victory at home to Sticker. They finished their campaign with a 1-1 home draw against Helston Athletic

WEST MIDLANDS – Silverware secured by Hednesford, Redditch Borough and Shrewsbury

Premier – Lye Town finished their fixtures as leaders with a 4-0 win at Coundon Court, although Kidderminster Harriers beat third-placed Shifnal Town 3-0 so only need a point at home to bottom side Knowle ext week to be champions. Port Vale are level on points with Shifnal after a 6-2 victory at Coventry Sphinx.

1 North – Hednesford Town netted nine at Tamworth in midweek to become champions with two games still to play, as they moved beyond the reach of Walsall FC.

1 South – Crusaders’ Nikki Brazil bagged a brace during a 3-1 result at Redditch United, as they moved within a point of top team Redditch Borough.

Premier Cup Final – Shrewsbury Town lifted the Cup after defeating Leek Town 4-0 at Evesham United FC.

Division 1 Cup Final – Redditch Borough’s Bobbie-Lea Birch and Esther Lau-Mackaay were on target in the 2-0 victory over Walsall FC.
