Wrexham Women beat Cardiff City on penalties after a 2-2 deadlock in the Genero Adran Trophy final, with a competition record attendance of 1,374 at Bangor City Stadium.
Cardiff led early on as Mackenzie Olden’s corner was headed home by Shannon Evans.
Ava Suckley lobbed goalkeeper Ceryn Chamberlain for the equaliser, but City were back ahead just before the break, as Olden’s free-kick hit the crossbar and Mikayla Cook finished on the rebound.
With 10 minutes of the 90 left, Suckley’s lay-off to debutant Maria Francis-Jones on the edge of the box was hit into the top corner to make it 2–2.
