
Portsmouth Women climbed off the bottom of Barclays WSL 2 with a shock 2-0 win away to previously unbeaten runaway leaders Charlton Athletic.

Portsmouth stunned leaders Charlton with two goals inside the first nine minutes at The Valley.
Evie Milner scored the opening goal, with Charlton appealing for a foul on goalkeeper Sophie Whitehouse that was dismissed.
Georgie Freeland’s set-piece from the touchline beat everyone and went in at the far post to make it 2-0 to Pompey.
The result moved Portsmouth level on points with Sheffield United in 10th place, as Ipswich Town dropped to the bottom, two points adrift.
Charlton remain nine points ahead of Birmingham City but have played two more games.
Sunderland were denied a victory over Nottingham Forest by an equaliser deep into stoppage time.
Katie Kitching fired Sunderland in front with a first-half free kick that sailed into the top corner.
Although Aimee Claypole had her 96th-minute penalty saved by Demi Lambourne, the rebound was put away.
The late goal kept Forest a point ahead of Sunderland in seventh spot.
