Nottingham Forest have made Scotland international midfielder Amy Rodgers their first summer signing.
She joins from fellow Barclays WSL2 side Bristol City on a two-year deal, after Forest’s promotion to the second tier.
Rodgers has 10 senior caps for Scotland after a youth international career with England, she was with Liverpool and Bristol City in the WSL and has also had a spell at London City Lionesses.
Head coach, Carly Davies, told nottinghamforest.co.uk: “Amy joins the club with a wealth of experience, having previously played in the Women’s Super League and internationally with Scotland.
“She is a composed and technically gifted central midfielder and has a proven pedigree at this level. She is a fantastic addition to the squad; her vision, work rate and leadership qualities will be a huge asset to us both on and off the pitch.”
Rodgers commented: “I’m really excited to be here. As soon as I heard about the project and spoke with Carly I felt like it was a bit of a no brainer, so I’m really happy to be here.”
