Nottingham Forest Women have signed Tuva Espås on a two-year deal from Norwegian side Vålerenga.
The forward leaves Vålerenga fourth in the Toppserien and had made 14 appearances for them this season, including two in the Champions League, scoring five goals.
While with Røa IL, she helped the team earn promotion back to the Toppserien, scoring 13 goals in 17 matches and picking up the league’s Player of the Year award.
Espås told nottinghamforest.co.uk: “This is huge for me, to move over here and play football in a new country. It feels like good timing, the club is huge, I have met the girls and the staff, and I am looking forward to getting to know them more and settling into the group.“
Head Coach, Tom Mallinson, added: “Tuva is an exciting forward who we believe adds different qualities to the squad. She is a dedicated professional, has Champions League experience and arrives here ready to hit the ground running.
“We’re really pleased she’s joining us and are looking forward to seeing the impact she will make on the group.”
