Nottingham Forest have signed Georgia Brougham on a two-year deal, after the defender’s departure from Championship winners London City Lionesses.
Brougham began her career at Manchester City and made her senior debut in 2014, before a five-year spell with Everton that included two loans to Birmingham City.
After a couple of seasons with Leicester City she moved to London City, for whom she played 18 times and scored three goals during their title-winning campaign.
Head coach Carly Davies told nottinghamforest.co.uk: “We are delighted to welcome Georgia to Nottingham Forest.
“Her experience in the game, most recently winning WSL2 with London City, will be a huge asset to the team this season.
“Georgia is a composed, intelligent defender who reads the game exceptionally well, and her presence will be an invaluable both on and off the pitch.”
Brougham added: “I’m delighted to be here. After speaking to everyone involved, hearing the ambitions of the club, it’s exciting to be a part of this team.
“I’m looking integrating with the team and just seeing how far we can go, anything’s possible with the way the club are backing the women’s team.”
