Nottingham Forest Women have signed Australian international midfielder Alana Murphy from German side SC Sand on a deal running through to June 2027.
Murphy has several caps for Australia, having received her first senior call-up about a year ago.
She made over 75 appearances for Melbourne Victory and played a key role in guiding them to an A-League title.
After loans to Blacktown Spartans, she joined SC Sand in August 2025, making a dozen appearances.
Head coach, Carly Davies, told nottinghamforest.co.uk: “Alana is an incredible talent, and we are over the moon to have her on board and part of this team.
“Alana adds a new dynamic to our midfield with her experience playing in Australia, Germany and on the international stage with the Matildas.
“She is a great character for this group and one we are sure will excite the Forest fans at the City Ground.”
Murphy added: “I’m really pleased to join Nottingham Forest, and I’m ready for a new challenge and think I can contribute a lot to this team.
“I can’t wait to join this group of players and I’m excited to see what we can achieve this season.”
