Norway reach the last eight of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 as group winners, Switzerland and Finland meet to decide the runners-up spot.
Group A
Norway 2-1 Finland
Switzerland 2-0 Iceland
Norway were the first side to reach the quarter-finals after they saw off then group’s other match-day one winners Finland.
They led with little over two minutes played, Caroline Graham Hansen’s cut-back bringing an own goal from Eva Nyström.
Linda Sallstrom got in for Finland but goalkeeper Cecilie Fiskerstand did well to tip the shot round the post.
Norway hit the woodwork twice in quick succession, through Ingrid Engen and when VIlde Boe Risa’s corner was pushed onto the upright by Anna Koivunen, who later thwarted Ada Hegerberg when through on goal.
Moments later the Finns equalised, Oona Sevenius getting in-between the central defenders to fire home.
Fiskerstand turned a Katariina Kosola strike behind, Eveliina Summanen hit the post and the rebound was put over the top.
Koivunen tipped over Guro Reiten’s overhead kick, Graham Hansen missed a great chance but with six minutes left saw her cross drop in off the far post.

Switzerland got off the mark with a win over Iceland, who now cannot progress from the group stage.
With only 45 seconds played, Iceland’s Ingibjorg Sigurdardottir hit the crossbar, while the Swiss had the ball in the net later in the half but the goal was ruled out for a foul.
Switzerland’s Iman Beney was inches wide from distance, with the game still goalless at the interval.
Soon after the restart, a free-kick from Karolína Lea Vilhjalmsdottir clipped the crossbar, then at the other end Leila Wandeler’s strong header was pushed over by Cecilía Rúnarsdóttir.
Geraldine Reuteler made a 75th-minute breakthrough for the tournament hosts after being slipped in by Sydney Schertenlie.
Wandeler hit the bar and in the 90th minute picked out Alayah Pilgrim, whose deflected shot doubled the lead.
