Mancunian Unity, Atherton Laburnum Rovers and Bolton Wanderers Reserves all made it four straight wins in the North West League on Wednesday.

Mancunian Unity made it four wins from four with as many goals at Poulton Vics, Faye Knox hit a first-half hat-trick for Bolton as they netted eight times at Curzon Ashton. Darwen had six different scorers against Fleetwood, while there were victories elsewhere for Crewe and West Didsbury.

Atherton extended their winning start to four games with both goals of the match at Wigan, who were down to ten players for the last 20 minutes following the red card shown to Casey Green. Courtney Chadwick’s treble helped Mossley Hill come through an eight-goal thriller at Pilkington, Ashton Town scored eight goals all their ow at Radcliffe, while Salford City saw off Rochdale.

Bolton Wanderers Reserves’ fourth straight win came 4-1 at Haslingden, Preston beat Blackpool 3-0 to abruptly end their local rivals perfect start. Workington edged a seven-goal thriller with Morecambe, Penrith hit double figures at Fleetwood Reserves.

Chester held leaders Nantwich to a goalless draw watched by 147 fans as both sides stayed unbeaten. Runcorn got the solitary goal at Warrington, similarly AFC Crewe in defeating Macclesfield whose Rhia Pollard was sent-off before the break. Wirral Phoenix returned from Liverpool Feds Reserves 3-1 victors.

Sutton United 1-1 Millwall Lionesses

Sutton rescued a point at home to Millwall watched by a crowd of 128, Beth Humphrey’s penalty cancelling out Lionesses’ opener from Portia-Milan Langley-Wright.
