Rhian Wilkinson has announced a 26-player Wales Women’s squad for her side’s October international friendly double header.

Wales will face Australia at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday 25 October (KO 2:00pm) before facing Poland at Rodney Parade in Newport on Tuesday 28 October (KO 7:45pm).

The match in Cardiff will mark the first time Wales have ever played against the Matildas but also it will be Jess Fishlock’s final game for Cymru.

Nine uncapped players feature in the squad with first time callups for Mia Ross, Annie Wilding and Teagan Scarlett. The latter two took part in a training camp in Portugal ahead of the EUROs in the summer alongside Soffia Kelly (who has had to withdraw due to injury) Gwen Zimmerman, Scarlett Hill and Amy Richardson who are also named in the squad.

Six players who featured at this summer’s EUROs miss out due to injury. Those unavailable are Josie Green, Ella Powell, Rhiannon Roberts, Lily Woodham, Rachel Rowe and Esther Morgan.

Kayleigh Barton announced her retirement from all football in August, and the upcoming international window will be the first camp without her involvement.

Tickets for both matches are available to purchase on the FAW ticketing website, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, with discounts available for Red Wall members.
