Newcastle United have signed Poland international defender Malgorzata Grec following her departure from Dijon FCO.
She has 13 caps for her country and made 58 appearances for Dijon during three years in France and helped her side to the Premier play-offs for the first time.
Earlier she won a domestic double with Austrian side SKN St. Polten, and with Gornik Leczna she was a league champion as well as lifting the Polish Cup.
Grec, known as Gosia, told newcastleunited.com: “I feel very excited to be a part of this big club, and that’s such a pleasure for me, and I cannot wait for our first game.
“Once I heard about the project here, it was amazing, and all of the people here are very ambitious, so for me, the choice was very clear. Our objectives are very clear here to get to the WSL.”
Manager, Becky Langley, said: “Gosia joins us off the back of three successful years playing in the top-flight of French football, and we are delighted to have her onboard.
“She carries a great physical presence in both boxes, she has a brilliant passing range and is technically gifted.
“We are excited to welcome her into the group and start working with her.”
