Nantwich Town have so far made a successful transition into the North West League top flight, recording two victories in the opening week of the campaign.

Promoted as Division One South champions, the Dabbers have won their first two games in their Premier Division debut season.

Wednesday night saw them double their points tally with a 3-1 win over Crewe Alexandra, as Charlotte Crees scored a crucial brace.

Bolton Wanderers edged Bury 1-0, moving to second in the table as the only other side with back-to-back wins at the start of the campaign.

Mancunian Unity drew 1-1 with visitors FC United of Manchester, as both remained unbeaten and moved onto four points each.

Lorna Stratton struck a late three-minute brace to help Tranmere Rovers beat Poulton Vics 3-2, West Didsbury & Chorlton took the points 2-0 at FC St. Helens, and Darwen defeated Preston North End by the same score.

Hanna Chlodek hit a hat-trick as Rochdale netted four without reply away to Bury Reserves, making it two wins from two at the top of Division 1 Central.

Salford City started in style with a 5-0 result over Atherton Laburnum Rovers, while Altrincham also had a successful opening with the only goal at Stockport County.

Accrington Stanley sit top of Division 1 North following an 8-1 thrashing of hosts Haslingden, while Workington Town are the other side with maximum points from two matches after Beatrix Barber and Hayley Bracken netted for a 2-0 win at Penrith.

Blackpool and Wigan Athletic Women both have four points after their goalless draw, Bolton Wanderers Reserves got off the mark with a 4-2 beating of Blackburn CSC, while Morecambe shared six goals with Fleetwood Town Wrens to each register their first point.

The Division 1 South table has two teams dead level in pole position, after Chester smashed hosts Tranmere Rovers Development 7-1 with six different scorers, and West Didsbury & Chorlton Reserves won 2-0 at Warrington Town, where Lucy Ward and Maddie Ashton were on target.
