Chelsea captain Millie Bright has announced her retirement after an impressive total of 314 appearances for the Blues.
Chelsea’s longest-serving player, who won 20 trophies with the club, will now take on a new role as club ambassador.
Bright told chelseafc.com: “Representing Chelsea over the last 12 years has been everything to me, but I’m now ready to say goodbye to playing football. I’ve given all I can, and I never wanted to fight for any other badge.
“It is now time, and I’m ready to go into a new era. I’m always going to be Chelsea, but just in a different way.”
Signed from Doncaster Belles ahead of the 2015 season, she went on to play more WSL matches than any other player, with the record now standing at 216.
Bright earned 88 caps for England, winning Euro 2022 and captaining the team to the 2023 World Cup final.
She also received an OBE in the King’s New Year Honours List of 2024.
