Michelle Agyemang has won the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award for 2025 with Sarina Wiegman declared Coach of the Year.

Agyemang, the youngest member of the Lionesses squad, scored a stunning goal 41 seconds into her senior debut and got crucial goals to help the Lionesses to triumph at EURO 2025, where she was received young player of the tournament award.

Agyemang said: “I’m so grateful to the BBC for this opportunity. For all my teammates, my coaches, all the staff that have supported me throughout this year for the various teams that I’ve been on, I’m so grateful and thank you so much.

Wiegman led England to the retention of the Women’s EUROS, which she followed up by being awarded the Women’s Team Coach of the Year at the Ballon d’Or awards and just this week received The Best FIFA Women’s Coach honour.

Wiegman said: “This award is for the players and staff. I’ve been part of a tremendous team – an incredible group of players and staff. What we saw in the summer, we played crazy matches, especially from the games that we had to win. It makes it even more exciting.”
