Marc Skinner has left his role as head coach of Man Utd Women by mutual agreement, with the team just over a month away from kicking off the BWSL campaign.
In a statement on manutd.com, the club said:
‘Appointed in 2021, Marc led United to four domestic cup finals in four seasons, winning the club’s first major honour in women’s football with the 2024 FA Cup.
During his tenure, United also finished runners-up in the 2022–23 Women’s Super League, securing qualification for the UEFA Women’s Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
Last season, the team reached its first League Cup final and the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Marc leaves having made a significant contribution to the continued progress of Manchester United Women. The club places on record its sincere thanks for his professionalism, commitment and dedication throughout his time at United, and wishes him every success in the future.’
Manchester United play in the opening match of the Barclays WSL 2026-27 season away to London City Lionesses on Friday, 4 September.
