Man Utd Women Secure UWCL Quarter Final With Bayern Munich

Man Utd Women completed their UWCL Knockout Round Play-Off victory over Atlético Madrid to set up a quarter-final clash with Bayern Munich.

Manchester United were already 3–0 up from the away leg at Atlético Madrid and extended that to five by half-time.

Lisa Naalsund set up Julia Zigiotti Olme to fire home the opening goal of the night, and Hinata Miyazawa’s corner was played to Jess Park, who hit the back of the net from outside the area.

Atlético had Xenia Perez sent off for a second caution during the latter stages.

The first legs of the last eight are on 24-25 March, with the return games the following week.

Lyon await Wolfsburg in the semi-finals after the German side completed a 2–0 victory away to Juventus, building on the 2–2 draw from the first leg.

Vivien Endemann finally swung the tie in Wolfsburg’s favour, before Cora Zicai sealed a 4–2 aggregate triumph in stoppage time.
