Man Utd Women had to wait until the 88th minute to make sure of all three points at Leicester City.

The Reds opened the scoring after 13 minutes, as Julia Zigiotti Olme’s cross from beyond the corner of the penalty area beat everyone and flew into the far corner of the net.

Shannon O’Brien came off the bench for Leicester and soon had a shout for a penalty but it was turned down.

Another City substitute Noemi Mouchon forced Phallon Tullis-Joyce into a low save, Olivia Clark did likewise at the other day from Simi Awujo.

Marc Skinner’s side had to wait until the 88th minute to make sure of all three points, with Zigiotti passing the ball through to Elisabeth Terland to score.

While the 2-0 result saw Manchester United cut Manchester City’s lead at the top to eight points, the Foxes remain just two points off the bottom.
