Man Utd Women retrieved a three-goal deficit against Spurs in the Barclays WSL, ten-player Liverpool drew with West Ham after a late equaliser of their own.
Leicester City 1-0 London City Lionesses
West Ham United 2-2 Liverpool
Brighton & Hove Albion 0-3 Chelsea
Manchester City 6-1 Aston Villa
Manchester United 3-3 Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs looked set for a first-ever win over Manchester United until a dramatic late comeback. Hinata Miyazawa hit the Spurs bar from 25 yards out, but Beth England powered in a header from Olivia Holdt’s cross to give Tottenham the advantage. Melvine Malard also struck the bar, with Toko Koga clearing off the line, Maya Le Tissier then the third United player to hit the crossbar. But Spurs were taking their chances as Eveliina Summanen headed in an Ashleigh Neville cross. Holdt’s pass was smashed home by Martha Thomas but the hosts replied with a hooked effort by Ella Toone, who rattled the bar moments later. Fridolina Rolfö stabbed in United’s second and equalised in added time from Leah Galton’s cross.
Manchester City made it 10 straight wins in the WSL with a victory over Aston Villa. Khadija Shaw netted her 100th goal in all competitions for Man City, connecting with a perfectly weighted Vivianne Miedema cross for a first-half lead. Shaw scored again just before half-time after Yui Hasegawa’s pass, turning inside to slot it home. Alba Fujio scored City’s third just moments after they had a goal disallowed. Lucy Parker scored for Villa with a header from Missy Bo Kearns’ corner, only for Miedema to tap in Fujio’s ball across the six-yard box for 4-1. Shaw completed her hat-trick after Kerolin led a counter attack and got a fourth from Grace Clinton’s goalbound shot.
Chelsea won at Brighton to move back up to second but remain six points off leaders Man City. Sandy Baltimore capped a strong run with a shot from just inside the box into Sophie Baggaley’s top corner. Erin Cuthbert’s cross early in the second half doubled the lead, as Albion’s Caitlin Hayes could only head the ball into her own net. Sam Kerr set up Alyssa Thompson for a sharp finish and a 3-0 lead.

Liverpool had Gemma Bonner sent off inside 20 minutes for a foul on Riko Ueki, but twice levelled to hold West Ham 2-2. Ueki headed West Ham into a 57th-minute lead from a Viviane Asseyi corner seconds later Liverpool equalised as Beata Olsson’s header sent Mia Enderby through to slot into the far corner. The Hammers took the lead for the second time after a corner kick, with Ffion Morgan’s shot re-directed by Anna Csiki. With two minutes left in the 90, Olsson intercepted a pass, broke through on goal, and finished past goalkeeper Kinga Szemik for a dramatic equaliser.

Leicester City secured a precious three points after London City missed a very late penalty. Leicester’s Shannon O’Brien found the net from outside the box but was flagged for offside. But she did score when bundling the ball over the line soon afterwards, Asmita Ale finding her with a header from Sam Tierney’s ball into the box. Isobel Goodwin was denied a leveller for the Lionesses by the post. Deep into added time, Janice Cayman took down Grace Geyoro in the box, but Janina Leitzig comfortably saved the resulting penalty from Kosovare Asllani.
