Man City Women won 2-0 away to Nottingham Forest to clinch top spot in Subway Women’s League Cup Group A.

A backheel from Khadija Shaw set up Grace Clinton to open the scoring for Manchester City at the City Ground.

City grabbed a second before the break, as six minutes later Lauren Hemp pounced on Yui Hasegawa’s corner that rebounded off the post.

Second-placed Forest couldn’t get back into the tie, as City finished four points ahead of them.

The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place on Tuesday 25 November.
