
Japan Women defeated the USA in the second match of a three-game series, with Maika Hamano scoring the only goal, while elsewhere the FIFA Series tournaments continued.
The goal came in the 27th minute when Hamano won possession and exchanged passes with Maya Hijikata before striking a shot that Phallon Tullis-Joyce could only help into the top corner.

Brazil thrashed 10-player Zambia 6-1 after Hazel Nali’s red card, which VAR upgraded from a yellow. Yasmim and Tainá Maranhão scored for Brazil before Barbra Banda pulled one back, but Angelina and Vitória Calhau converted from the spot, with Raissa Bahia and Kerolin also finding the net in between.
Ivory Coast overwhelmed Turks & Caicos 15-1 to go three points clear at the top of the FIFA Series group they are hosting. They finish up on 16 April against Pakistan, whom Mauritania edged 1-0 to move into second spot.
Hosts Thailand beat New Caledonia 4-0 to make the final, where they face DR Congo, who were 7-1 victors over Indonesia.
The other tournament finishes today, with Australia playing Kenya in the final and India facing Malawi for third place.
