Durham Women have announced the signing of Australian defender Madison McComasky.
She spent last season with Fort Lauderdale United in the USL Super League, and her impressive form in Florida earned her a spot in the league’s November Team of the Month.
McComasky spent two years with the Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League and has also played for Canberra United and the Macarthur Rams.
The 5’11”, 26-year-old offers versatility, capable of playing anywhere along the backline as well as in a defensive midfield role.
McComasky told durhamwfc.co.uk: “I’m really excited to be here at Durham, everyone so far has been so nice and welcoming.
“I know this is a fantastic opportunity to be playing in this league and I can’t wait to get started!”
