
London City Lionesses let a two-goal lead slip at title rivals Birmingham City but the draw was enough to secure them promotion from the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Birmingham City had to win to take the title from London City but Izzy Goodwin fired the Lionesses ahead from 25 yards and Chantelle Boye-Hlorak doubled the lead. Emily van Egmond got the Blues back in it and Cho So-hyun volleyed them level in the dying minutes to spark a frantic finish.
Charlton Athletic’s 2-0 victory at Southampton sealed them third place, Beth Roe ad Katie Bradley with a quickfire double.
Durham were fourth after beating Bristol City by the same score, as Beth Hepple ad Mollie Lambert netted.
Newcastle United ended fifth with a 5-1 success at Blackburn Rovers that featured a Shania Hayles hat-trick.
Sunderland finished level on points with Bristol in sixth after defeating Sheffield United 2-1, with goals from Eleanor Dale and Emily Scarr.
