Llanfair United defeated Tregaron Turfs 3-0 in the Central Wales FA Ladies Cup final at Llanidloes Town FC.
The Ceredigion League club proved to be difficult opponents for the Genero Adran North outfit and it appeared that the two teams would be heading back to the changing rooms on level terms.
However, Llanfair United broke the deadlock in the final minute of the first-half when Tania Wylde latched on to a Millie Evans through ball to find the back of the net despite the best efforts of Victoria Oakes in the Turfs’ goal.
The holders doubled their lead eight minutes after the interval when Sophie Cook was picked out by Tonicha Lloyd to finish past Oakes from close-range.
Wylde netted her second goal of the evening in the 56th minute with an effort from the edge of the penalty area that saw the Montgomeryshire club retain they lifted last term after overcoming local rivals Berriew in the final.
