Liverpool Women’s Beata Olsson scored an eight-minute hat-trick among the last friendlies before the WSL season kicks off next weekend.

Liverpool overcame Durham 7-1 at St Helens Stadium, with Beata Olsson scoring a first-half hat-trick inside 20 minutes.

Marie Höbinger made it 4-0 by halftime, while Ceri Holland, Sara Agrez, and Vic Jones also added to the tally before Rachel Lowe pulled one back.

Newcastle United had to come from behind to beat WSL newcomers Burnley 3-1 at Gateshead International Stadium.

Jamie Finn had the Clarets in front for only three minutes, as Charlotte Wardlaw picked out Kathleen McGovern to score at the back post.

McGovern was then put through on goal by Beth Lumsden to slot past Kirsty Levell soon after the interval and then completed her treble with a dipping effort.

Charlton Athletic won 3-1 over Wolves at The Valley, aided by Ashleigh Neville’s double.

Neville tapped home Emily van Egmond’s cross to give Charlton an early lead, before striking again for a 2-0 half-time lead.

Addicks goalkeeper Sophie Whitehouse had tipped the ball over the bar to deny Olivia Francis and then also Chloe Williams.

An error from Wolves allowed Carla Humphrey to tap into an empty net, before Yana Daniels pulled one back for the visitors late on.

Spurs scored five goals against Bristol City in a behind-closed-doors match at Hotspur Way.

Olivia Holdt set up Signe Gaupset to fire Tottenham ahead close to the break.

Matilda Nilden whipped in a cross for Julie Blakstad to apply the finishing touch, to make it three goals in the space of just eight minutes, later completing the scoring herself.

Aston Villa and West Ham United played out a goallss draw at Keys Park Stadium.

Villa went closest as Riko Ueki’s long-range strike hit the crossbar, while Lucia Kendall’s effort forced a superb save in added time.
