Liverpool Women have signed England U23 international Mari Ward following the end of her contract with Bristol City.
The full-back played in all but one of Bristol City’s WSL2 games last season, as the Robins wrapped up a fourth-place finish.
Joining City from Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2022, Ward made 86 appearances, scored six goals in total, and helped the Robins win the second-tier title in 2022-23..
Ward told Liverpoolfc.com: “I’m so excited. Liverpool is such a huge club with such a big history.
“I can’t wait to put on the Liverpool shirt for the first time. It’s going to be so special. And to walk out as a Liverpool player, it’s still unreal to even think about it. I can’t wait for that moment.”
