Leicester City Women’s longest-serving player Sam Tierney has signed a new contract through to the summer of 2028.
The reliable and tenacious central midfielder has made 151 appearances for the Foxes since joining the club in the summer of 2020.
Speaking to LCFC.com, Tierney said: “There are many reasons as to why I wanted to extend my time here. I have a genuine connection to this Club and have been here a number of years now. I have a lot of pride in wearing this shirt.
“I am committed and like to give my all to the club, and we’re in a position now that requires that. I am really pleased to be here and hopefully being part of us rebuilding for a great future ahead.”
Starting her career with Doncaster Rovers Belles and Sheffield United, she then moved to Leicester and helped the Foxes lift the WSL 2 title in her first season.
