Leah Eddie signs three year contract with LCFC Women

Leicester City Women sign Leah Eddie on a three-year contract after the central defender spent the last two seasons with Rangers.

She played 23 times for Rangers last season, as they finished two points behind SWPL title winners Hearts, and had previously been at Hibernian for six years.

She has represented Scotland in six international matches, making her debut in a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland in 2021.

Speaking to Foxes Hub, Eddie said: “I’m really excited to get started. I had a lot of conversations with the club; I’ve seen the facilities and the way that they are looking to push next season and that’s something I’d love to be a part of.

“I’ve played in the Scottish league for a long time, and I really enjoyed my time there but I’m looking for something new and there’s no better place to come and try that.

“When I moved to Rangers, I won the first two cups of my career so I will be looking to use that experience to try and win more cups and get promoted.”
