Sari Kees has made a permanent move from Leicester City Women to Ajax for an undisclosed fee.
The defender, who joined the Foxes from OH Leuven in July 2024, made 31 appearances in her two seasons with Leicester.
Internationally, she is an experienced player for Belgium after previously also gaining dozens of caps with the development teams.
Ajax Women’s technical manager Dolf Roks told ajax.nl: ”With Sari, we are bringing in an experienced player who knows what is required at the highest level. It is no coincidence that she wore the captain’s armband at Leuven and is a Belgium international. Sari is an intelligent defender who positions herself well and can contribute to the build-up play with her footballing qualities. She has the ability to remain calm in possession and maintain a good overview of the game, making her a defender who fits our style of play perfectly.”
