Vivianne Miedema made the breakthrough for the Netherlands with her 100th goal, setting up a 3-0 win over Wales at UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.

Wales goalkeeper Olivia Clark needed a couple of attempts to deal with Jill Roord’s early effort, a free kick was given for the challenge on her as she pushed the ball off the line.

Roord rattled the post from 25 yards but in first-half added time Miedema found the far corner of the net from outside the box, to clock up her 100th goal for the Dutch.

The lead was doubled a couple of minutes after the interval, Danielle van de Donk picking out Victoria Pelova to score.

Both Roord and Jackie Groenen hit the crossbar, before Esmee Brugts made it 3-0 with a far-post volley.

Clark denied Lineth Beerensteyn a fourth for the Netherlands, with the offside flag later doing likewise and Lily Woodham clearing off the line from Chasity Grant.
