
Hitchin Belles fought back from 4-1 down to draw 4-4 with Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds in the Eastern Regional League.
EASTERN – Hitchin Belles recover three-goal deficit to draw
Premier – Stevenage and Bowers & Pitsea continued their winning starts, the former 2-1 at Atletico London, the latter with a similar score at Royston Town where they fought back with Evie Clarke’s brace. Harpenden Town put four past Hutton whose Kaitlyn Lawrence was dismissed, Enfield Town drew a local derby 2-2 with Haringey Borough watched by 150 fans, Wroxham versus St Albans City also ended two apiece. Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers’ home game with Watford Ladies Development was abandoned late on due to a serious injury, with the visitors 4-1 up.
1 North – Stevenage Development lead the table after Francesca Tilbury was at the double in defeating Dunstable Town 3-1, Histon also have six points after a 2-0 beating of Biggleswade United, likewise Real Bedford Reserves who edged Cambridge City with a Lauren Hawkins goal. Holly Thomson hit a hat-trick for Hitchin Belles as they came from 4-1 down to draw 4-4 with Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds. Colney Heath had a more modest 1-1 tie with Mulbarton Wanderers, while Newmarket Town netted five against Thetford Town.

1 South – Wormley Rovers overcame Toby FC 8-1 to sit top, Chelmsford City also making it two wins from two with a 4-1 result at Hashtag United Reserves who had Paige Dearing red-carded. Colchester United beat Brantham Athletic by the same score, Hertford Town took the points 2-1 against Stanway Pegasus as substitute Cassandra Chase struck.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Hastings’ Rebecca Relf gets all three goals
Premier – Saltdean, Dartford and Brentford won for the second week running, United 4-0 over Ashford Town, Darts defeating Sutton United 2-0, Bees beating Newhaven 4-0 with an attendance of 141. Barking came away from Millwall Lionesses with a 2-1 victory, Asanteni Charles scoring both their goals. Aylesford got the only goal at Dorking Wanderers through Nicole Pepper-Scott. Sutton host Millwall at the David Weir Leisure Centre on Wednesday 27 August.
1 North – Camden Town kept up a successful start 3-0 at AFC Greenwich Borough, Hammersmith too with a 2-1 result over Hackney. Dulwich Hamlet Reserves beat Soccer Elite Football Academy 5-1 aided by Anna Stones’ treble, Bromley were 3-1 winners watched by a crowd of 151 at Clapton CFC. Actonians Reserves got all three goals at Ashford United who had Lucy Blackmore dismissed, Herne Bay sent Richmond & Kew to a 2-0 loss.
1 South – Eastbourne Borough’s Molly Hill scored three in a 6-1 sinking of Steyning Town, Sevenoaks Town also made it back-to-back wins as subs Hermione Dorsett and Ellie George scored for a 2-1 result over Frimley Green, whose Emily Whitelaw was sent off. Hastings United’s Rebecca Relf got all the goals in a 3-0 defeat of Ashmount Leigh, Bognor Regis Town came out on top 2-1 at Leatherhead, as did Montpelier Villa at home to Bexhill United.

NORTH WEST – Five-goal Fylde in first place
Premier – AFC Fylde made it three wins from three 5-1 in beating Bury 5-1 in front of 120 fans, Mancunian Unity matching that form with a 7-0 success at Curzon Ashton. Bolton Wanderers came through 5-3 at West Didsbury & Chorlton, where Ocean Flanagan scored twice. Crewe Alexandra beat Poulton Vics 3-0 with Emilia Edwards twice on target, FC United of Manchester saw off Darwen 2-1.

1 Central – FC St. Helens put 10 past Radcliffe, Rochdale’s Sophie Coates scored three for a 6-3 victory over Pilkington, while Atherton Laburnum Rovers edged Ashton Town 3-2 to be a third side with maximum points from three games. MSB Woolton sub Lucy Tam added to Isabel Davies’ double for a 3-2 victory at Wigan Athletic, Salford City were 2-1 winners over Mossley Hill Athletic.
1 North – Three wins in a row now for Bolton Reserves and Blackpool, Wanderers sinking Fleetwood Town Wrens Reserves 7-0, the Seasiders 2-1 victors at Morecambe. Accrington Stanley scored all three goals at Chorley Development, Penrith pipped Preston North End 2-1, Haslingden were held 2-2 at home by Workington Town.
1 South – Nantwich Town hit hosts AFC Crewe 6-0 for a third straight win, Katie Greenwood helping ewith three goals. Liverpool Feds Reserves won 2-0 at Macclesfield, Manchester Laces beat Altrincham 4-1, Runcorn Linnets sent Warrington Town to a 3-0 defeat, Wirral Phoenix and Chester played out a goalless draw watched by a 150-strong crowd.
The North West League has another full midweek programme on Wednesday 27 August.
The North East and Southern Leagues kick-off on Sunday 31 August, followed a week later by the East Midlands, South West and West Midlands.
