Hearts Women beat Glasgow City 1-0 away to replace them at the top of the SWPL table, Rangers moved into second place with a 3-0 win at Celtic.

Danique Ypema scored the only goal in the last 10 minutes as Glasgow City failed to clear a corner and the loose ball was fired home from the edge of the box.

Rangers’ Katie Wilkinson scored all three goals at Celtic, heading home a Brogan Hay cross, beating goalkeeper Adelaide Gay with a free-kick, and converting a late penalty, as her side moved within a point of the new league leaders.

Partick Thistle held Hibernian to a goalless draw after Hibs’ Kathleen McGovern missed a penalty and was also denied by the crossbar.

Montrose trailed Aberdeen for most of the game after Maddie Finnie’s very early goal. But Sophia Martin levelled at 85 minutes, and Demi Taylor grabbed a stoppage-time winner.

Motherwell put four goals past Hamilton, who are now relegated to SWPL 2. Milly Boughton scored twice, with one each from Carla Boyce and Jenna Penman.

Boroughmuir Thistle fought back from 2-0 down at half-time to beat leaders Kilmarnock 3-2, with goals from Ria McCafferty, Ami Robertson, and Leah Sidey.

Spartans defeated Gartcairn 3-0 with goals from Chloe Hutchison, Emily Cadell, and Robyn McCafferty, while St Johnstone lost 2-5 to Livingston.

Queen’s Park won 2-0 against Dundee United, Stirling University were relegated following a 2-0 defeat by East Fife.
