Chelsea and England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton has been voted BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year 2025.

Her highly successful 12 months was capped by saving two penalties to help the Lionesses win Euro 2025.

That followed a treble-winning campaign with Chelsea, during which she kept clean sheets in most of her Barclays Women’s Super League appearances.

Alessia Russo was second in the public vote and Aitana Bonmati third, with the shortlist chosen based on performances from September 2024 to August 2025.
