Chelsea made it a very difficult afternoon for Liverpool, as they stormed to a 9-1 victory. It was a flying start for the visitors as, despite Niamh Charles having a goal disallowed, she set up Sam Kerr to score on the turn before the Australian swiftly adding a second. Wieke Kaptein and Aggie Beever-Jones each added a goal, giving their team a 4-0 interval lead. Johanna Rytting Kaneryd scored either side of a Jenna Clark reply, with Sjoeke Nüsken making it 7-1. Rytting Kaneryd later rifled home her hat-trick goal, with Millie Bright also getting on the scoresheet.

Manchester City also made easy progress at West Ham with a 5-1 result. They were two up in just eight minutes, Kerolin netting after Kinga Szemik parried a Khadija Shaw effort, Grace Clinton then crossed for Lauren Hemp to score. Verena Hanshaw assisted Riko Ueki in cutting the deficit in half but Clinton restored the two-goal cushion before the break. Shaw scored from an Alex Greenwood delivery, and Laura Coombs came off the bench to make it 5-1.
