France and Spain edged out Portugal and Italy respectively in extra time to reach Friday’s UEFA Women’s U-19 Championship Final.
Ornella Graziani and a Maeline Mendy free-kick had France two up but Marta Gago pulled one back from the spot, with Portugal equalising in the second half through Lara Martins.
Maeline Mendy restored the lead in extra-time and although Diana Costa levelled, Mélinda Mendy’s 113th-minute penalty put France through.
Italy kept out a dominant Spain until three minutes into extra-time, Irune Dorado with the breakthrough after Clara Serrajordi flicked-on Cris Librán’s free-kick.
Daniela Agote confirmed the holder’s place in the final late on, following up an Emma Mustafic save from Pau Comendador.
Friday’s final is live on UEFA.tv at 7pm.
