Five Lionesses nominated for Women’s Ballon d’Or

A number of Lionesses have been nominated for the Women’s Ballon d’Or awards in various categories.

Five UEFA Women’s EURO 2025-winning Lionesses have been nominated for the Women’s Ballon d’Or, with Scotland’s Caroline Weir also among the nominees.

Lucy Bronze, Hannah Hampton, Chloe Kelly, Alessia Russo and Leah Williamson have all been nominated, while Michelle Agyemang is in the running for the Women’s Kopa Trophy for the best player under the age of 21.

Hannah Hampton has been nominated for the 2025 Yachine Trophy, which recognises the world’s best female goalkeepers.

Lionesses head coach Sarina Wiegman has also been nominated for the Women’s Team Coach of the Year.

Winners will be revealed on 22 September 2025 at a ceremony staged at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.
