FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 host cities revealed

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 host cities and their respective stadiums have been officially announced.

FIFA were joined by a host of prominent Brazilians for the announcement of the eight venues, which will stage the first ever Women’s World Cup in South America.

The eight stadiums selected were all used for the 2014 FIFA Men’s World Cup and – with their capacities – are as follows:

  • Belo Horizonte (Estádio Mineirão) 66,658
  • Brasília (Estádio Nacional) 69,910
  • Fortaleza (Arena Castelão) 57,867
  • Porto Alegre (Estádio Beira-Rio) 50,848
  • Recife (Arena de Pernambuco) 45,440
  • Rio de Janeiro (Estádio do Maracanã) 73,139
  • Salvador (Arena Fonte Nova) 47,915
  • São Paulo (Arena Itaquera) 47,252

We are deeply grateful to all 12 cities that took part in the thorough and competitive selection process to host the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027. Belém, Cuiabá, Manaus and Natal, we thank you very, very much for your extraordinary efforts. Your passion has not gone unnoticed, and we are committed to keeping in touch and finding meaningful ways for you to also be part of this historic event.”

The tournament will be held from 24 June to 25 July 2027, the last 32-team edition before an expansion to 48 nations in 2031.
