FA Women's National League Cup Set for First Round Draw

With the FA Women’s National League Cup Group Stage completed today, the First Round knockout draws will be made tomorrow.

Group A – Bridgwater United 3-1 Marine Academy Plymouth (Att: 61), Bristol Rovers 0-6 Plymouth Argyle

Plymouth scored five goals after the break to hit second-placed Bristol Rovers for six and take top spot. Bridgwater finished third.

Group B – Exeter City 5-0 Abingdon United, Portishead Town 0-3 Southampton FC Academy (Att:84)

Exeter made it three straight wins helped by two goals from Sarah Stacey, Southampton FC Academy ended comfortably in second position.

Group C – Gwalia United 2-6 Swindon Town (Att: 255), Keynsham Town 0-3 Bristol City Academy

Swindon topped the table after a 6-2 success in the group decider at Gwalia, where Annie Colston and Adi Viveash each scored twice. Bristol City U-21s were third with the win at Keynsham.

Group D – Lewes H/W Worthing, Fulham 4-1 Brighton & Hove Albion Academy

Lewes had a walkover against Worthing to clinch the group, Fulham beat Brighton Academy with a second-half hat-trick from Ellie Olds to take the runners-up spot from them.

Group E – Ascot United 0-6 AFC Bournemouth (Att: 104), Moneyfields 3-0 Bournemouth Sports (Att: 74)

Jenna Markham fot half AFC Bournemouth’s six goals as they took maximum points from their three games. Moneyfields were second on goal-difference from Ascot.

Group F – Kidderminster Harriers 1-5 Cheltenham Town, Worcester City 1-2 Birmingham City Academy (Att: 212)

Cheltenham have won all three games after victory at Kidderminster, Libby Bell’s double overturning a early deficit. Birmingham City Academy beat Worcester to second with an away win over them.

Group G – Chatham Town 2-0 AFC Sudbury (Att: 127), Billericay Town 0-1 London City Lionesses Academy

Chatham beat Sudbury to beat them to top spot, London City U-21s finished third.

Group H – Actonians 1-1 AFC Wimbledon (Att: 61), Maidenhead United 1-7 Chelsea Academy

Actonians were held by AFC Wimbledon but the draw was enough for them to seal first place, the Dons third after victory for Chelsea’s youngsters.

Group I – Dulwich Hamlet 0-1 Hashtag United, London Bees 3-2 Crystal Palace Academy

Hashtag grabbed pole position from Dulwich with a Honor Norton effort. London Bees were third with four points after coming from two down to beat Palace U-21s in added time with Aria Heil’s header.

Group J – Chesham United H/W Charlton Athletic Academy, Queens Park Rangers 0-6 Watford

Watford won the group in style with six goals at second-placed QPR, Isabella Fisher nettig two of the first three. Chesham had a walkover against Charlton Academy that got them off the mark.

Group K – Northampton Town 0-2 Loughborough Lightning, Rugby Borough 5-0 Arsenal Academy

Rugby recorded three wins from three as Nicky Potts bagged a brace, Loughborough pipped both Northampton and Arsenal Academy to second.

Group L – Real Bedford 3-1 Peterborough United (Att: 192), Cambridge United 0-1 Norwich City

Real Bedford completed a perfect set of group games but only levelled after 65 minutes, with Breon Grant scoring twice. Norwich’s Ceri Flye got the sole goal at Cambridge to take second place from the U’s.

Group M – Milton Keynes Dons 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur Academy, Oxford United 4-0 Luton Town (Att: 127)

Oxford scored four past Luton in the decider, Spurs Academy’s victory put them third.

Group N – Stourbridge 2-5 Leicester City Academy (Att: 98), West Bromwich Albion 2-0 Leafield Athletic (Att: 137)

West Brom beat Leafield to finish top ahead of them with a perfect record, Leicester City Academy took third spot aided by a Muna Eze brace.

Group O – Boldmere St Michaels 3-1 Sutton Coldfield Town (Att: 110), Sporting Khalsa 1-0 Aston Villa Academy (Att: 90)

Boldmere held first place by one point from Sporting Khalsa, who beat Villa’s Academy side to second with a 90th-minute goal.

Group P – Lincoln United 2-4 Notts County (Att: 62), Sheffield FC 0-2 Derby County (Att: 106)

Derby made it a third win while defeated Sheffield FC finished third, Notts County second after victory at Lincoln where Takiah Parkes hit a hat-trick.

Group Q – Stoke City 3-2 Manchester United Academy (Att: 181), Wythenshawe 1-7 Wolverhampton Wanderers (Att: 204)

Wolves scored seven times in securing a third win, Stoke comfortably second following a 3-2 result over Manchester United’s PGA side as substitute Layla Kennerly struck twice.

Group R – Liverpool Feds 0-0 Cheadle Town Stingers (Att: 188), Stockport County 1-1 Liverpool FC Academy (Att: 1,690)

Liverpool Feds topped the group on goal-difference after a goalless draw with runners-up Cheadle, Stockport secured third spot watched by a record crowd.

Group S – Barnsley Women 2-2 Hull City (Att: 182), Doncaster Rovers Belles 0-2 Sheffield United Academy (Att: 162)

Hull’s draw after trailing 2-0 was sufficient for them them to stay top, Sheffield United Academy won at Doncaster to seal second place ahead of the Belles.

Group T – Blackburn Rovers 0-13 Burnley, Huddersfield Town 1-0 Chorley (Att: 159)

Burnley hit double-figures in clinching top spot, Huddersfield edged Chorley with a Kate Mallin goal to leapfrog them into second.

Group U – Halifax 0-2 Norton & Stockton Ancients, York City 2-5 Leeds United (Att: 187)

Leeds pipped Norton to top spot after both were victorious, Ellie White got a hat-trick for United, Halifax took third position.

Group V – Durham Cestria 2-2 Sunderland Academy (Att: 95), Middlesbrough 3-0 Chester le Street Town (Att: 203)

Middlesbrough won the group by two points from Sunderland Academy, Durham Cestria a further point behind in third after letting a 2-0 lead slip.

The 22 group winners and ten best runners-up progress to the knockout stages, while the other dozen runners-up along with the 20 best third-placed sides will play for the Plate.

The First Round draw is on 29 September at 7.15pm live on the FA WNL Instagram channel.
