AFC Bournemouth and Norwich City had markedly different wins as they both climbed to the top of the FA Women’s National League tables.

The top three all won as Burnley stayed in pole position, one point ahead of Wolves, with Rugby Borough a further five points back despite Sofia Mallon’s Winer at Derby. Stoke’s victory lifted them to fourth, while Loughborough earned a good draw at West Brom to climb off the bottom, while Halifax picked up a fine result to rise to ninth.

High-scoring AFC Bournemouth hit the top spot as Watford went down at home to Lewes, with the Rooks climbing to seventh. Plymouth won thanks to Eleanor Noble’s double to move within two points of the Hornets, while there were victories elsewhere for Real Bedford, Oxford United, and a standout 4-0 triumph for Cheltenham at Exeter.

Peterborough are still leading by a point over Boldmere after both secured 4-0 home wins. Barnsley sit in third following a successful away day, while Sheffield FC netted four on their travels.

Huddersfield’s strong goal difference kept them ahead of Wythenshawe despite just a narrow win over bottom side Blackburn. Felicity Jones completed her brace for the Terriers in the 90th minute. Leeds also claimed a 3-2 victory, lifting them into third place. Elsewhere, Durham beat Doncaster and Chester-le-Street drew at Stockport.

Norwich take the leadership following their narrow victory with Grace Riglar’s stoppage-time penalty and a postponement for title-rivals Fulham. Third-placed Chatham were victorious, while London Bees scored both goals in their derby against QPR. Actonians drew their mid-table clash with Cambridge, and AFC Sudbury also tied with MK Dons, with the pair sitting either side of the dotted line near the bottom.

Swindon made it 10 wins from 10, while five-goal Moneyfields kept themselves within striking distance of the leaders. There were also three points for Bristol Rovers, Abingdon, Bournemouth Sports, and Worthing, with the latter climbing off the foot of the table.
