England Women Under-17s beat Mexico in the MIMA Cup, but Scotland and Wales both lost their opening matches.

Arsenal’s Bryony Brodie was the difference, netting the only goal of the game for the Young Lionesses with five minutes of the 90 remaining at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia, Spain.

Scotland lost 2-1 to Morocco, despite taking the lead when Lily Boyce volleyed home from Orla Burn’s corner kick.

Malak Mouman equalized midway through the second half, and Mayssa Baha clinched it with six minutes left.

Wales went down 5-0 to the USA, with Taylor Morrell scoring twice, and one each from Gianna Hanf, Amari Manning, and Lilah Helwig.

Further fixtures in the tournament take place on Thursday 12 February and Saturday 14 February.
